Offering supportive assisted living and memory care, Astoria Senior Living at Oakdale is the only assisted living residence in Oakdale and only one of a few in the area offering memory care in a secure neighborhood.
Life at Astoria means vibrant, engaging and fun living. While supportive assisted living services are available, it’s our personalized, resident-focused approach that helps residents thrive. Our residents receive all the extra support – and love – they need to stay active and in control of their own lives.
One of the friendliest small towns in California, Oakdale is a charming community of just 20,000 people, adjacent to the Sierra Nevada foothills and not far from Yosemite National Park. Known as the Cowboy Capital of the World, it’s got a bustling downtown, museums, quaint shops and fun events like the Oakdale Chocolate Festival. And of course, there’s a rodeo!
And our residents take full advantage! Whether they live in our assisted living or memory care neighborhood, we are constantly on the go enjoying everything our beautiful Oakdale location has to offer. Plus, residents visit the beach in Pacifica, have cookouts at Pinecrest Lake, and cheer on the Modesto Nuts, a local minor league baseball team. One resident even threw out the first pitch, and another was named MVP. They also enjoy going to Oakdale’s Concerts in the Park, just three blocks away at Dorada Park.
They stay busy at home, too. Our signature LifeCycles whole-person wellness program ensures residents are always enjoying activities and engagement that enrich minds, bodies and spirits. Things like music programs, games, exercise and weekly baking or art projects. Outside, they love spending time in our beautifully landscaped courtyard, playing games or toasting marshmallows around the fire pit.
At Astoria, we’re known for treating residents like family. That promise also extends to their families. We understand how difficult it is for families to entrust their loved ones into a community – that’s why we go above and beyond to make families an active partner in the care of their loved one.
We find that by including families in activities, events and services, they have more opportunities to enjoy and appreciate each other. And by letting us worry about providing the day-to-day care, they’re free to focus on spending quality time together.
