Lakefront Oaks Estate is located outside the Western Sierra foothill community of historic Placerville, in El Dorado County, CA. Only 5 miles north of Highway 50, the Estate is forty miles east of Sacramento and 68 miles west of Lake Tahoe. In fact, for visiting families, the San Francisco bay area is only a 2 1/2 hour drive or better yet, a 10 minute detour off Highway 50 if you’re on the way for a weekend in Tahoe. Secluded in the gated community of Greenstone Country - with 24/7 video recorded access - the Estate is surrounded by a lake and expansive oak tree grove.
Greenstone Country is a 2,265 acre development with only 347 lots. There are approximately 240 acres of open space that include three fishing and swimming lakes with beaches, three fishing ponds, three parks with picnic areas, horseback riding arena, two night lighted tennis and volleyball courts, two children play grounds and twelve miles of private horseback riding and hiking trails.
Although surrounded by lakes and nature, with few cars and no traffic, the Estate is only a short distance to most all services from grocery to department stores and beauty salons to day spas. A major new mall is just being completed off Highway 50 in nearby Folsom, and the Red Hawk Casino – with 2100 slot machines and five restaurants – is only a short drive as well.
Lakefront Oaks Estate sits on a nearly 3 1/2 acre promontory point with spectacular views of the 36 acre private Indian Creek Reservoir. The Estate is a 4,872 sq. ft. private home, the large majority of which is dedicated to our senior residents. Features available to our guests include a spacious multipurpose living room, foyer, and dining area with panoramic lake views; a library for quiet relaxation; a fenced and tree shaded patio; six private bedrooms; two full baths, one half bath, and a 4' by 6 1/2 ' walk-in/roll-in shower available to all residents. Bring your own furniture and surround yourself with “home”, or we will furnish your bedroom with a twin bed, linens, pillows, a dresser, night stand, lamp and chair. One bedroom is furnished with an electric adjustable queen bed, recliner chair, vanity, 3 end tables, dresser, lamps and more.
A 12 mile trail system runs adjacent to the Estate, and organized walks for capable residents will be regularly conducted by staff. For the comfort, health, and fire safety of residents, visitors and staff, the Estate is a non smoking facility.
As a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, Lakefront Oaks Estate is authorized to provide care in the form of assistance with the activities of daily living. However, the Estate is a non-medical facility and not allowed to provide 24-hour skilled nursing care. The Estate is equipped with exit door and gate alarms and, with our additional staff training, we are licensed to provide compassionate care for those with dementia on a case by case basis. We serve the greater Sacramento and San Francisco bay areas, including the nearby communities of Placerville, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Folsom and Lake Tahoe.
