We’ve been the breath and source of long term and respite to hundreds of families since 1987. That’s when Mr. Treacy, an eager arrival from Ireland started his career taking care of older people. He was 22 years old and saw that he could be of great inspiration and assistance. This purposeful position, lead him to develop a care facility which he started in Santa Barbara and nurtured it to this larger facility in the heart of Ventura.
Since 1987 Treacy Villa Memory Care Facility has operated as a 49-bed family-owned facility that is dedicated to providing a warm safe and secure home for family members who are generally impaired by a dementia diagnosis including Alzheimer’s Disease. Treacy Villa is a secure facility with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to sit and to walk in a safe setting. As the choice for Ventura County families for more than thirty years, all services at Treacy Villa including local transportation, and a weekly visit with our beautician are included.
Treacy Villa’s specialized memory care program is designed to address the needs of each person individually and develop a plan of care that meets their specific needs. Our program includes daily activities that promote stimulation of senses and physical performance. Most activities are performed in a group setting allowing for greater supervision of the resident and promoting socialization with other residents, families and all of our loving staff.
By working as a team with physician and family and using behavior strategies such as re-direction, verbal cueing or one-on-one assistance, our staff is able to keep residents who suffer from behavior issues calm and relaxed. Treacy Villa provides a safe environment, with secure features in place to handle wandering and other behaviors that are common among Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients.
Plan of Care – As your loved one’s needs change so does our Plan of Care. We are there every step of the way to assure your loved one is attended to according to their support levels. Treacy Villa also offer a unique and newly established wellness approach for resident’s transitioning from Acute Care/Nursing Home settings by partnering with community resources and the primary care physician to get you back home. Our staff is trained, experienced and dedicated to ensuring the best personal care and attention.
Our respite care program is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It is designed to assist the needs of the caregiver’s schedule. Treacy Villa’s cozy private and semi-private suites are available for short-term stays, perhaps to recover from surgery or illness, to allow a caregiver or family to take a vacation without worry, or just to see how it feels to live in our community before making a permanent move.
Moving to a new environment can be difficult for anyone. When your loved one joins us for a short stay, our respite program is designed to give them the extra attention they need. Treacy Villa will do everything possible to make our new residents’ transition an easy one, whether they are planning a short visit or an extended stay.
