Take a closer look at Vi at Aventura. It just might transform your perception of what retirement can be. Between a wide range of impressive amenities, a robustly social lifestyle and the benefits of having a plan for life care in place, every aspect of our community is expressly designed to foster a remarkable retirement.
Vi is a Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), that provides residents with independent living as well as a continuum of care on-site. This means you have access to our care center for the same monthly fee* as your independent living monthly fee. Charges for extra meals and ancillary items are applied should you move to the care center.

>> SYLVIA OLLEAR: My name is Sylvia Ollear. I'm now living at the Vi in Aventura. I moved November 15, 2016. When you get to a certain age like me, you don't want to become dependent on your family, and I was always very independent. I was originally from Brooklyn. I worked for Macy's many, many years, and the building I worked in was 1407 Broadway. And I sold most of the big stores, you know, big department stores throughout the country. I was always in the sweater business. Selling is ... It's you. It's how you come across to the person. The name of the game was you got to sell. You had to stay on top of it because you had the most glamorous people coming in. You had celebrities coming in. I remember one time, Elizabeth Taylor came in. These wealthy women would come driven in chauffeur-driven cars, and the chauffeur would wait outside. They would buy a dress for three, four, $500. And you would just say, "Oh, my God," but not one dress. Like sometimes two or three dresses, you know? Fashion, it was always changing. There was always something new coming in. I enjoyed working very, very much. My husband I met in Fire Island. Great in sports, played baseball, excellent tennis player, excellent golfer, good looking, very kind, very considerate. He was very supportive and very proud, very, very proud of the work that I did. I lost my husband in 2014. He passed away, and I was literally left alone. I miss him terribly. I really, really do. He was a great, great guy. One day, we decided, "Okay, I'm going to make the move," and then somebody suggested the Vi. The people that worked here just greeted me so beautifully. The ambience was lovely. Walking in there, the people were very friendly. And sure enough, immediately, I made up my mind and decided to come to the Vi. The first person that I met, I was a little timid. I was a bit shy. Alice I did meet on the bus going to Publix. I sat next to her. And we started to talk, and we just hit it off so nicely. We talk about politics. We talk about our books. We talk about fashion. We giggle. Living here has some very, very, very good advantages. The weather is magnificent. I mean, I wake up. The sun is shining. It's bright. I get out on the terrace, and I see all the beautiful trees and the birds and everything. And I am really enjoying living here so very, very much.
