The Memory Center Atlanta
Johns Creek, GA - Assisted Living, Memory Care
Community size: Large (26-100)
The Memory Center Atlanta is an inviting assisted living community in Johns Creek, Georgia. It is within exciting Fulton County which is part of the Peach State.
At The Memory Center, we believe the challenging conditions of an aging brain should be met with a caring, interactive community designed around the individual. One that recognizes them for who they are today.
Our newest community, The Memory Center, Atlanta is now open and is the most comprehensive facility specializing in the care of those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in the Atlanta area.
At The Memory Center, we support not only our residents, but also their families. We encourage families to stay involved and ask questions so they can rest easier knowing their loved one is safe, happy and receiving the care they can feel good about.
A critical ingredient to our success is our high resident to staff ratio (4:1), far above the industry standard, and our low staff turnover. This means our staff gets to spend more time interacting directly with residents and providing individualized care. Your loved one gets the care they deserve and family members get peace of mind.
All Memory Center staff complete 4 times more training than established by state-run regulatory agencies.
In addition, all Memory Center managers, key staff, and corporate team members have achieved their CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) certification recognizing the highest standard in Alzheimer’s and dementia education by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).
Attaining this specialized CDP certification benefits both residents and their families. This comprehensive training, focusing specifically on Alzheimer’s and dementia care, ensures The Memory Center staff are equipped to help reduce the risk for injury during activities of daily life (ADL) care, wandering, and behavioral changes.
The Memory Center is dedicated to meeting the challenging conditions of an aging brain with caring, interactive communities designed around the individual.
Every detail of color, texture, lighting, and space is designed to address the primary environmental objectives recommended by The Alzheimer’s Association including “an indoor space that allows for freedom of movement and promotes independence,” while offering “safe and secure outdoor areas” including our large courtyard and walking trails.
The Memory Center programs are designed to inspire purpose, validate actions and invigorate while providing the highest quality of life for residents and supporting their families.
Our focused programming and activities promote the highest quality care for those in cognitive decline including Alzheimer’s and dementia and offer every incentive to celebrate life and find purpose in each day.
The Town Center is a centralized, interactive area featuring a movie theater, library, general store, bank, tavern, ice cream stand and salon along with icons to represent historical Atlanta.
The design concept divides into four neighborhoods of 12 suites, each with its own residential environment that includes living rooms and dining areas. See the Atlanta community floorplan or room floorplans.
Within a short walk of their apartment, each resident will discover multiple amenities throughout the neighborhood, yet will have no trouble finding their way back. Residents have access to landscaped secured outdoor courtyards and walking paths for freedom and movement in a safe and secure environment.
