In addition to our amazing home care services, we also offer Wilson Senior Living, our long-term care residential facility in Kailua, which welcomed its first residents in mid-2013. Wilson Senior Living in Kailua is a state-licensed, adult residential care home, type II, with the capacity for 22 residents. We have 16 fully furnished, private bedrooms and bathrooms, and three bedrooms that can be used for couples who’d like to stay together or can be shared as semi-private rooms.
Each room is equipped with a call system, electric Tempur-Pedic bed (unless hospital bed is appropriate), flat screen tv with basic cable, Wi-Fi, landline phone with discreet number, desk, chair, dressers, built-in closet system, remote-controlled air conditioner and ceiling fan.
Each resident receives personal care and medication management around the clock by trained staff, overseen by a registered nurse. Residents are treated like family, and we strive to assist them to live purposeful lives in this beautiful environment they are proud to call home.
Choosing elderly care for your loved one can not be approached as a one-size-fits-all solution. Simply put, choosing the right care is dependent on what your elderly loved one’s needs. Needs to consider include:
- Living rooms on each floor with big-screen TVs
- A spa room with soaking tub and salon equipment
- Elevator for easy access from garage for each floor
- Open concept kitchen/dining/living areas
- Personal care services
Deciding what your loved one needs to live a healthy happy life can sometimes feel like a difficult decision, especially when there are so many options for elder care in Honolulu. However, the most effective way to approach this decision is to think about their needs, as well as questions like “Would they prefer to live at home or do they need community?” or “is homecare still appropriate or would they benefit from more care but still with some independence?”
When in-home care is no longer appropriate, come see Wilson Senior Living, our state-licensed Adult Residential Care Home (ARCH II), located in the Aikahi neighborhood of Kailua. This beautifully appointed state-of-the-art care home welcomes individuals in need of care around the clock, but who do not require skilled nursing care on a regular basis.
