Spurgeon Manor is a desirable assisted living community in Dallas Center, Iowa. It is within pleasing Dallas County which is part of the Hawkeye State.

Since 1971, Spurgeon Manor has been known for the fine quality and loving care provided. Spurgeon Manor is a free standing non profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) providing the needs of seniors at all levels of care.  The staff consists of considerate individuals who help residents maintain their dignity and who assist them in continuing to live active and productive lives, while having fun!

Whether your residence at Spurgeon Manor involves independent living, assisted living, or nursing care, we want you to feel that this is your home. Every effort will be made to help residents feel physically and emotionally comfortable in a warm atmosphere of care. Maintaining dignity, restoring self-care abilities, and promoting independent decision-making are the primary goals of Spurgeon Manor. It is our desire and would be a privilege to assist you or your family member in achieving the highest potential at this later season in life.

Our assisted living concept focuses on providing individualized apartment living, for those who choose not to, or are no longer able to , live on their own. From active tenants who require minimum assistance to those requiring more personalized care, we provide just the right amount of assistance while allowing the maximum amount of independence appropriate for each individual.Tenants can receive the services they want or need in four distinct service levels for a monthly fee; with additional services available depending on the the degree of assistance required. Tenants can choose from one or two bedroom apartments.

Spurgeon Manor has 55 Medicare-certified beds offering 24 hour nursing care. All rooms are private. While residents can receive skilled services in any of these rooms - 13 are designated specifically for stort-stay rehab.

The Eby Heritage Court is a neighborhood providing care to those residents with memory loss. We provide nursing care in a secured, loving environment. Residents have the opportunity to be involved in various activities which keep them engaged both mentally and physically.

The daily rate covers room, board, and care from the facility. RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs provide 24-hour care. It does not cover special needs such as wheelchairs, walkers, special mattresses, oxygen, and therapies (i.e. Physical, Occupational, or Speech). Charges for medical supplies, dressings, incontinent supplies, and catheterization are also not included in the daily rate and will be billed to the resident. The rooms are furnished with an electric bed, chest of drawers, bedside table, and a chair. Other items may be brought in as space permits. We want you to make your room as home-like as possible. All meals, housekeeping, laundry, and other activities are offered daily.
