In the early 1990, the community of Marcus saw a need for nursing care in the senior living community. From 1990-1995, over six hundred supporters donated in excess of one million dollars for the construction and operation of Heartland Care Center. The sole purpose of the facility is to serve the residents and their families with outstanding nursing care, quality staff, and a home-like atmosphere for everyone. The supporters of this facility gave their time, effort, money, and dedication to make a successful building. The facility opened its doors in August of 1994.
