Maple Grove is a community of adults aged 18 and older with memory impairments who live in private studio apartments within Maple Groves’ two houses, Red Maple and Silver Maple. Our community is the first in the State of Illinois to offer this “small house concept,” and both houses offer identical care designed to allow independence within the safety and security of a carefully designed home with 24/7 staff.
Based in Carthage, Illinois, Hancock Village takes great pride in offering much needed services for seniors. Hancock Village has senior living community options which include supportive living and memory care.
We are mindful that each resident comes to us with an individual set of needs. For some, those needs are as simple as companionship, a church service or a few kind words throughout the day. For others, it’s assistance with the basics of daily living such as housekeeping, laundry and more. Still others require more specialized care including therapy services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.
Our trained and tenured staff are here to serve the many differing needs of our residents, promoting creative thinking and learning, with patience, kindness and, above all, compassion.
The later years of life can bring many joys and many challenges. At Hancock Village, we are committed to making these precious years fulfilling and enjoyable. And we will do this through our passionate pursuit of excellent care and service.
Our staff provides advanced care for loved ones with memory and cognition challenges. This specialized care is based on ongoing, specialized training for this special population. The structured daily activities include our Wellness Program which addresses both physical and intellectual needs as well as programs that help meet the spiritual and emotional needs of our residents. Personalized care is based on individual needs and can include medication management, daily personal care and other services as needed. Our “It’s Never 2 Late” program utilizes software that helps our residents explore interests, stimulate memories and encourages physical and intellectual engagement.
We take pride in our well-equipped family-style kitchen, where members of our Memory Care Team prepare the meals residents and staff will enjoy together three times a day. The menu is varied and includes many of the favorite dishes our residents love. Through our relationships with your loved one, we learn their likes and dislikes and work hard to include those dishes in our menus. You’ll feel good about knowing your loved one is enjoying wholesome meals around a family dinner table as well as snacks throughout the day and evening. The smells of cookies and bread baking creates an inviting aroma throughout the house that also stimulates warm memories.
Our common areas are meant to make our residents feel at home. Comfortable seating areas around the fireplace invite interaction among the members of our community as well as their families. Large windows offer a changing view of the landscaping as the seasons change.
The private, fenced-in patio provides a spacious, comfortable area for residents to enjoy being outside. Residents have ready access to the patio any time they wish, while providing safety and security so you can have peace of mind.
Safety is a priority for us. Our houses allow family members to come and go freely and spend time with your loved one while ensuring our residents are able to leave the house only when accompanied by either a team or family member.
At Hancock Village, we are dedicated to providing compassion and kindness toour residents and fellow employees. Our mission is to be the ethical leader inquality, affordable, and personalized care for our aging population.
