Bethany Retirement Community is a faith-based, non-profit serving the vibrant Andersonville and Ravenswood neighborhoods of Chicago. Celebrating over 125 years of service, our “Called to Care” mission traces back to the Methodist church; today, we are home to a variety of faith traditions.

Bethany Retirement Community has been responding to the needs of residents for more than 125 years. Those with memory impairment can fall into patterns of withdrawal and isolation, which can lead to further cognitive decline.

This is compounded when the resident encounters further limitations such as mobility and hearing impairment. Our innovative memory care programming facilitates engagement and provides the highest quality of life for residents with early to middle stage dementia-related illness.

Programs place a strong emphasis on the social element that has been shown to be the most effective brain exercise of all! Activities emphasize the building of supportive relationships that become even more essential as memory loss progresses.
