Located in the heart of Andersonville, Chicago Methodist Senior Services offers memory care, short-term rehabilitation, long-term skilled nursing, supportive living, low-income housing, and community services for older adults.
An accredited, nonprofit organization, our mission is to support, improve, and enhance the quality of life for older adults of all faiths and backgrounds by empowering them to live with dignity and respect.
We’re known as pioneers in person-centered senior care and services, and we continue to innovate to make their lives better. Good days happen more often when you have opportunities to thrive. That’s why you’ll find our residents taking trips to museums, exploring the neighborhood, and staying fit with yoga sessions. From our high caregiver-to-resident ratio to our new cardiac rehabilitation program to music and memory therapy, new fitness classes, beautiful gardens and more, we strive to give people the world-class care they deserve.
As an industry leader in memory care, we understand that day-to-day thriving is what really matters most. That’s why memory care by Chicago Methodist Senior Services centers around the individual and their specific needs. By treating every person in our care like the unique individual they are, we can help them all thrive. Our innovative art programs, like Music and Memory therapy, help to foster positive emotional connections.
We offer two memory care communities with specialized programs to ensure that your loved one receives the right care.
Hartwell Place is an intimate assisted living community with engaging programming exclusively for people with memory loss. With only 28 apartments and a high caregiver-to-resident ratio, everyone receives personalized memory care from our specially trained memory-loss caregivers.
Hartwell Place is like a lively household with a very large family. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, this historic building and its residents are very much a part of the surrounding community.
Family members frequently drop by for breakfast or dinner. And with an ongoing choice of programs and social activities, residents can stay engaged and free from anxiety. Because our caregivers are trained to lead these programs, they create close bonds with residents. They take daily walks together in the neighborhood, shop at the farmer’s market and visit the much-beloved Art Institute of Chicago.
