Greenfield Home is an angelic assisted living community in Princeton, Illinois. It is within pleasing Bureau County which is part of the Prairie State.
In existence for over 100 years, the Adeline Prouty Trust has long been recognized for its quality senior care. Current service options at Greenfield include assisted living in its Licensed Sheltered Care program and Independent Living Apartments in an attached wing. These complimentary services allow residents and family to choose the level of support which best meets their needs and desires.
Greenfield expanded services in 2007, opening a new apartment building. A flexible floor plan provides 320 sq.ft. studios and 620 sq.ft. 1-bedroom apartments which can be combined to create 940 sq.ft. 2-bedroom suites. Depending on availability, this flexible floor plan allows residents to increase or decrease the size of their apartment without moving.
All apartments are furnished with kitchen appliances, cathedral ceilings, cable TV, housekeeping, maintenance, video call system to the locked front door, and free access to larger meeting spaces and laundry room. Our main meal, served at noon in our central dining room is also included. Our Services page highlights the service offerings for independent apartments as well as licensed sheltered care.
Being attached to our sheltered care building provides many benefits. Included are 24hr. staff and emergency call system, wellness checks, fire safety in the forms of a full sprinkler system and direct alarm notification to the Princeton Fire department, generator backup in case of power failure, expanded meal plans, and a host of group activities and programs.
Family style dining in our spacious dining room, with tableside service for all meals. Fresh fruit and snacks available throughout the day, with scheduled opportunities for free guests. Guests are always welcome by reservation. Special diets provided w/doctor's order.
Full-time activity program provides a variety of options to meet the individual interests of each resident. Included are programs, creative expression, music experience, exercise, gardening, games, socialization & family activities.
Our Sheltered Care services are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health's Long-Term Care division. This level of service provides 24 hour licensed nurses, nurse aides, specialty diets, individually programmed activities, laundry, linens and housekeeping.
Sheltered Care services are catered to the individual's needs in order to encourage and support the highest level of independence and mobility. For example, our rooms have showers or bathtubs where residents bath independently or with stand-by assistance, and we provide assisted bathing in our whirlpool bather.
Likewise, our daily group exercise programs are provided in a manner that allows each resident to participate to their individual capacity. A personal trainer is available to work one-on-one, building strength to meet individual flexibility and mobility goals.
While licensing for long-term care providers is normally done each year, our ongoing record for fully compliant surveys and lack of any incidents requiring state intervention allows us into an elite group of facilities which are given two-year licenses. A copy of our license and recent survey results are available here. (License & survey results.)
In Greenfield's Sheltered Care, you will enjoy the comforts of home and the security of community.
