The Good Samaritan Home opened its doors in 1962 to provide for the long term health care needs of the Senior.
Since then, it has grown to its present 128 nursing home beds, 16 residential apartments, and 46 bed Alzheimer’s community (Pathways). An additional 24 bed Medicare unit, The Pavilion, provides short term skilled care. The mission of The Good Samaritan Home is to provide a caring community through an atmosphere of Christian love and concern.
The Good Samaritan Home is owned by Lincolnland, Wabash Valley, and Evansville Tri-State Associations of the United Church of Christ. The home is governed by a Board of Directors and is a member of the Indiana/Kentucky Conference of the United Church of Christ, and The Council of Health and Human Service Ministries of The United Church of Christ.

Our Rehabilitation Team provides one-on-one care that is centered around the needs of our clients. We design a program specific to our client’s goals and provide a team approach to reach those goals. Therapy services are provided up to 7 days a week.
Our Rehabilitation Team is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment designed to assist in improving life skills in order to achieve the highest level of independence as well as managing pain to create a high quality of life. We believe that every client deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest, and we provide a variety of services including fall reduction, urinary incontinence, neurological care, and pain management.
