we bring and say oh man never seen anything so beautiful it's like being on a cruise ship successful aging is a way of life at Santa Marta I want them to feel like they're at home and they're living a full and happy life continuing on with all of the activities that they want to do in their later years Halloran the leader and senior living research and assessment give Santa Marta highest honors for being among the best of the best of 272 senior living communities in 34 states and canada with Santa martes going consistently in the 90th percentile or above in a resident satisfaction survey Santa Marta was also recognized for excellence in three categories first impressions employee satisfaction and overall hospitality program but we're proud of this place as you can probably tell Santa Marta welcomes those seniors who live independently they can choose from a spacious villa or a or three bedroom apartment Villa residents have a choice of one of four interior design plans which included attached garage screened porch or sunroom Santa Marta has 32 assisted living apartments 16 memory support suites and 34 skilled nursing suites to full-time aides are on staff for assisted living residence during the day and evening shifts and one a during the night shift also assisted living and memory care share the services of a registered nurse 24 hours a day in skilled nursing to registered nurses and for aids are on duty during the day and evening shifts one registered nurse and one aide are on the night shift they are so friendly so helpful and they have the patience of jobe they've been well trained so that they are pleasant and I have been in nursing some 25 30 years in different aspects of Nursing but this this is where you find the most joy and comedy and then you're laughing and crying and sharing memories I just enjoy it every day I want them to feel comfortable like we're family in memory care to AIDS staff every shift along with the registered nurse shared around the clock Santa Marta offers on-site rehabilitation therapy services and physical wellness classes we have water aerobics we have an aqua aerobics and an aqua light we have line dancing we have flex and stretch tai chi yoga I think exercise is one of the number one things that makes them feel good there get their bodies moving they stay on a regimen every day Santa Marta is contracted with a licensed physician to be its medical director to doctors two days week see residents in all levels of care of course residents always have the choice to see any doctor they choose any continuing care retirement community is only as good as its staff Santa Marta prides itself in having what it believes is the best staff in the business training is ongoing with staff participating in accident prevention programs dementia and impaired cognitive behavior studies fire safety psychosocial needs and transitions of seniors communications emotional intelligence and CPR training and they're trained to be very hospitable and very nice it's quite lovely actually as part of its perfect approach to providing professional services Santa Marta staff takes great pride in exhibiting a professional image all employees wear name tags and are trained to make eye contact smile shake hands and be welcoming and friendly to residents and visitors alike when you recognize a resident coming down the hall that you acknowledge them and then you know you try to bring a little cheerfulness and warmness into their lives Santa Marta staff are expected to show enthusiasm for service with a desire to please respect not only towards residents but towards fellow associates engenders a happy and positive work environment we definitely pride ourselves in making sure that the staff is very satisfied here year over year we've had extremely high associate satisfaction surveys mainly I think that's based on the culture that we've built the emphasis in training really it's about building relationships friendliness is not only expected but kindness and action is integral to the culture of Santa Marta being gracious responsive sociable engaging and respectful all staff associates are expected to demonstrate going the extra mile by following through percent of the time and performing follow up with just a little more effort caring defined as compassionate action is ingrained in all staff and all staff must be trustworthy and accountable every staff member participates in a defined rewards and superstar program recognizing their individual hospitality and excellent service Santa Marta emphasizes family values and holds creative special events all in good fun the best thing about Santa Marta is the people Santa Barda like all greystone communities offers a wide array of amenities and activities there's more activities than one person could take advantage of people play cribbage their constant bridge games there's the library there's a book club heated swimming pool indoor swimming pool is wonderful I never knew that underground parking could be so wonderful you know I have my food here I haven't cooked in five years which is although I have a lovely kitchen you know it just goes on and on there's always something to do Santa Marta takes special pride in the quality of the dining services two residents who enjoy elegant dining rooms with white table service and music playing in the background to enhance the dining experience the food is excellent you you have great choice and food the staff is very very very good Santa Marta uses the Crandall dieticians fully integrated food and diet program to provide appetizing and healthy meals with many choices for residents residents can enjoy chef prepared meals throughout the day as well as healthy choice snacks and bistro style offerings the Santa Marta community celebrates birthdays and anniversaries with personalized events we manage on to the principles that you're only as good as your last meal you need to improve every day we are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen and we are here to improve the life experience of our residents in a positive way that everyone in the community
