Boyle County Bookmobile - The Boyle County Library's bookmobile comes to the Charleston twice a month. Residents with a library card can check out books.
Church - Every Sunday morning residents can attend a church service in the lobby performed by a local minister.
Holiday Celebrations - Residents enjoy special menus, games and presentations to celebrate each holiday. Christmas is a special time at Charleston. The Charleston staff makes sure that every resident receives a gift on Christmas morning.
Ice Cream Social - Residents enjoy ice cream and socializing with each other.
One To One - Oliver and his team of volunteers make personal visits to each resident in their own rooms. Giving special attention to those residents that are unable to attend the group events.
Pet Therapy - Specially trained pets are brought to Charleston to visit with the residents.
Popcorn Social - A favorite event for our residents.
Quilting Group - Residents gather in the dining room to sew and work on putting together a quilt. It's a great way to have fun and socialize.
Red Hat Society - We are a charter member of the RHS. The ladies get to enjoy dressing up and having a blast!
Resident Council - Residents meet once a month to discuss the activities for the month. They can also offer ideas and make requests for activities.
Sing-A-Longs - Good old fashion singing and fun.
Special Music - Residents gather to enjoy special music performed by various groups from the community.
Spice of Life Discussions - A morning group discussion. Residents discuss a variety of topics and share spiritual insights.
Sunday School - Every Sunday morning residents can attend Sunday School right here at Charleston.
Table Games - Residents can play a variety of different games such as cards, puzzles, Yatzee, dominoes and many more!
TV Time - Residents gather in the lobby to watch tv and socialize in the lobby.
Volunteer Visits - We have many volunteers that stop by to brighten the resident's day. They do a variety of activities and visit with the residents.
