Sunrise of Baton Rouge is one of the few senior living communities in Baton Rouge, LA , that is completely secure, 24 hours a day—but that still allows family members and residents to come and go as safely as they please. We offer a comfortable, familiar environment for residents. In fact, our compassionate Designated Care Managers and team members take the time to get to know each and every resident personally. Here, residents feel like they are being cared for by family. In fact, some of our team members have worked here for more than 10 years.
We are a community with a purpose. Everything at Sunrise is done to make our seniors’ lives easier and more fulfilled as they age in place. Our activities focus on the mind, body and spirit; our food is carefully prepared and delicious; our staff is friendly and the service they provide to the residents is genuine; and the aesthetics of the building were designed with careful consideration of our residents’ needs.
Sunrise of Baton Rouge is open to families all the time, including our restaurant-style dining experience.
At Sunrise of Baton Rouge, our resident’s feedback is an important part of our dining experience and we make sure to incorporate their suggestions into our meal planning. Each day our dining services coordinator is present in the dining room to go over the menu and address any questions or concerns. For family members interested in what their loved one is eating each week, we send our weekly menus so that families can take a look (or decide to come in for a bite!)
Our residents are big fans of chicken dishes but request our dining services coordinator, Thomas Rackley, to cook gumbo frequently. Our entire community looks forward to holidays in the dining room, as our Dining team puts together something special for holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Cinco de Mayo and more.
