Francois Bend offers 4 Levels of Assistance to adults who want to maintain their independence but need extra support. Francois Bend is also staffed to meet the needs of residents with more serious health challenges.
Francois Bend offers assistance to seniors who want to maintain independence but need extra support. All apartments are licensed for assisted living so residents can remain in the same apartment when more assistance is required. There are several levels of assistance with activities of daily living plus dedicated memory care.
In order to determine the appropriate level of service, each resident’s health status is assessed prior to move-in and periodically reviewed throughout their residency.
With the increasing population of adults age 65 and older, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are becoming more and more prevalent, which is why having a Memory Care facility is so important.
Francois Bend's Around the Bend is a secure, specialized environment for residents with memory loss. The dedicated area has a separate front entrance staffed by a concierge. The dedicated team includes an activity coordinator, housekeeper, and nurses. Around the Bend includes 24 apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenettes, an activity room, dining room and private courtyard. Each resident has an individual care plan that is updated quarterly.
Programs and activities are created to encourage current strengths and abilities, promote cognitive function, provide meaning and joy, and stimulate reminiscence.

The Francois Bend team believes that by offering 24 hour nursing, in-house physical therapy and an in-house medication program, we are addressing the void that can exist between hospital-level care and nursing homes. We remain open to the personal preferences and needs of each resident and strive to provide a plan that best suits each person.
Respite programs provide planned short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other caregivers. Respite also provides a positive experience for the person receiving care. The term "short break" is used in some countries to describe respite care.
