Our small family of senior caregivers and operators in the Greater New Orleans area including Metairie, Lakeview, and Jefferson, have over thirty years of healthcare and senior living experience including nursing home and assisted living administration, home health and hospice management, nursing care and nurse education. It is our collective experience and the feedback from those we have served that has motivated us to offer our alternative to traditional senior living facilities. Frequently, senior living facilities use words like ‘homelike’ in marketing materials to convey a more appealing setting, but even when done well, traditional models cannot escape the institutional feel. A true family home offers what large operations can only hope to emulate. The Peristyle Residences team of professional senior caregivers includes a Registered Nurse who serves as our Wellness Coordinator, an RN who manages Medication Administration, Music Therapy Department, an Program Director, and each home is served by a dedicated House Manager and a caring team of CNAs.
We offer assisted living services in the Metairie area in a true residence that large operations can only hope to emulate. All caregivers are trained in dementia care and receive background checks. Every Peristyle Residence is protected by an automatic sprinkler system and monitored security and fire system.
Peristyle Residences team of professional caregivers includes a Registered Nurse who serves as our Wellness Coordinator, a registered nurse who manages Medication Administration, Music Therapy Department, an Program Director, and each home is served by a dedicated House Manager and a caring team of CNAs. Our caregivers are trained to serve residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementia care needs across the Greater New Orleans area, including Metairie, Lakeview, and Jefferson.
Henican House is a spacious senior care residence in Metairie with handsome oak trees shading the front porch, which opens into the living room with its pleasant décor and comfortable seating for our residents and their guests. The cheerful dining room opens into a “conversation corner” with table and chairs for individual activities or socializing, and that space, in turn, opens into the large sunroom with its recliners, television and music. Our senior care residence in Metairie is the home of eight residents and provides a wonderful care option for seniors who may no longer be able to safely live at home, but who do not need or prefer more institutional settings such as nursing homes or traditional assisted living facilities.
