At Georges Assisted Living we strive to ensure that the highest levels of care are always in place. But along with the care that you come to expect from Georges Assisted Living you can also rely on a wide range of day-to-day facilities, activities and services.

Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day to provide outstanding services to our existing and prospective residents. If residents choose to take part, there is a wide range of extracurricular activities and programs to participate in.

Our carefully structured individual bedrooms are mostly furnished with a bed, bedside locker, chest of drawers, walking closet and armchairs, residents may bring small personal items to make it home. Bedrooms also contain a lockable drawer, a television ,cable and a telephone. A nurse's station is located on the level of bedrooms and first floor ,with a 24 hrs service to enable residents assistance at any time during the night and day. The registered nurse is on call 24hrs a day to assist nursing assistants and medication techs with resident medical concerns or diagnostic necessities. Both facilities are cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis by nursing staff.

We always ensure sufficient qualified staff are on duty 24 hours a day to meet all residents’ nursing needs. Where appropriate, we arrange appointments for other professionals including doctors, dentists, opticians, chiropractors, physiotherapists and podiatrists. Appointments can be made for consultations at the facility or at the relevant practices. In home pharmacy is available upon request.

We ensure our premises are kept clean, hygienic, free from unpleasant odors and with systems in place to prevent the spread of any infection. Strict infection control procedures are met .We carry out careful procedures for the administration of residents’ medicines overseen by the Delegating Nurse.

Our facilities offer a full range of services to meet the social, cultural and practical needs of our residents and these include:

• A qualified hairdresser can regularly visit the dedicated salon at each facility.
• Personal laundry is undertaken on our premises and dry cleaning can be arranged.
• A regular program of social activities, events and outings is available from movies, plays, trips, planting and other summer fun activities.
• One of the most popular programs we encourage our able residents to participate in is the Camp Springs Senior Activity Center. The offer many activities including bingo, piano, fitness, line and round dancing etc. They also offer seniors breakfast and lunch for a small fee. Please Note: More information will be given about this program upon visiting or contacting the facility. This program is only available at the Fort Washington branch assisted living facility.
• A variety of games and puzzles are available in the sitting rooms.
• Shops or trolleys within the facilities are useful for stocking up on toiletries, refreshments and confectionery.
• Newspapers and magazines can be ordered by residents and will be delivered to their room.

Margaret's Place purpose is built for residents who are not physically or mentally able to take care of themselves independently and needs assistance 24 hrs a day. Our professional nursing team is expertly trained in caring for physically disabled residents, ensuring the highest possible standards of care based on each individual's needs. This can be for respite care, short term accommodation or long-term care. Our goal is to enable residents to become as independent as possible so they can be in control of their own lives despite any disabilities.

Margaret's Place enjoys a spacious and attractive layout ensuring the very best in nursing comfort and care. Our bedrooms, large open sitting room, pleasant conservatory and spacious backyard are carefully designed to allow residents as much independence as possible when being mobile around the facility. Assistance with mobility includes wheelchairs, walkers, canes and handicap accessible ramp.
