Dawn's Center for Seniors, a 20 bed residential care home, services seniors who are unable to stay by themselves but are not yet ready to enter a nursing home. We are located in a ranch style home in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to expressways and near Metropolitan Beach and its many recreational activities.
Our experienced and friendly staff understand that finding the right adult foster care for an aging parent can be a difficult personal and emotional decision. Many adult children struggle to secure assistance for their loved one. That's why we are here.

The long term consequences of falls among older adults can be life changing. Many falls can be prevented. Dawn’s helps residents make fall prevention a part of every day life. We help identify risks for falls through education, strength building and assessments so that our residents can live comfortably, independently and safely.
Our mindful and caring staff make certain to attend to the needs of our residents who are incontinent. We oversee a daily regimen of visits to the bathroom first thing every morning, before and after lunch and dinner, prior to bedtime and in the middle of the night.
Hospice Care is provided by an independent licensed hospice agency in coordination with Dawn's staff members. The bedroom is modified by Hospice and comfort care is provided daily by Dawn staff. Individual needs are addressed to maximize the ease and efficiency for providing care and to assure serenity for the resident. Residents are bathed and a registered nurse visits at least once a week.
Dawn's Center for Seniors offers a specialized program for seniors with Alzheimer's Disease and other memory related disorders. The focus of the program is to provide a safe and secure environment while promoting improved health, psychosocial well being and organized activities. Our staff of professional caregivers are trained to understand the unique needs of each resident and to provide individualized care based on special preferences and patterns, adding familiarity and predictability to our patients' lives.
Physicians services are provided by board certified visiting physicians who will tend to residents on-site at Dawn's every other Wednesday or when a resident is ill. Families are also encouraged to take a resident to their own PCP whenever they choose.
Providing care to loved ones so that they can remain at home can be overwhelming without some support. Dawn's Center for Seniors offers that support through our Respite Care services program. Dawn's offers Respite Care for seniors with special needs in our residential care facility, allowing the caregiver to take a much needed break with the peace of mind that their loved one is being cared for 24/7. Respite Care is recommended for caregivers as being beneficial to their health and well-being.
