We asked residents what advice they have for other older adults considering a move into a senior living community. Their response? Move while you're able to enjoy it and take advantage of all the community has to offer.
whether we like it or not we're getting older and these places like Presbyterian homes have a history of taking care of people like us and they're prepared to do that kind of work for us even as I did every repair job on the house and snow shoveling and what have you it's nice to have somebody else take care of all those details because in a sense when you get older you retire if you're not careful you become you have a tendency to become secluded our friends that are our age we say they're making a mistake not to look for a facility like this and move while they can because if they wait too long then they're not going to enjoy it they don't have enough time to meet new people and their mobility will restrict them and so get it you know get in a place where you're comfortable get involved as soon as possible so that the move isn't such a crisis thing and that to me is the most important thing
