Each wing has a large living room for gathering, watching television, or just visiting. The dining room is like an old fashioned large family dining room. The meals are all cooked in our commercial kitchen. We have what we call our community room where clients come to watch movies or for large gatherings.
We have 10 rooms in our assisted living wing. One of these rooms is a shared room where a couple could continue to stay together. Each room has its own bathroom and a large closet. When a client moves into one of our rooms they rent an empty room and bring their own furniture, accessories and decorations for their room. This keeps the room more comfortable and they feel much more like they are at home. We have a much better client to employee ratio than in many long term facilities. When a client needs help, day or night, someone is there to give assistance. There are no long waits for help to respond to their call.
Our two memory care wings were built in 2013. We have a total of 14 rooms in these two wings. Each wing has one shared room like in the assisted living wing for a couple to share. The client in a memory care wing furnishes and decorates their room also. Familiar furniture and decorations make them feel much more comfortable than in a small nursing home room typically shared with someone they have never met before. Our memory care rooms each have a large closet and share bathrooms.
