Hiawatha Suites is professionally managed by Welcome Home Management Company. Established in 1994 as a senior care management company, Welcome Home Management Company today manages senior communities in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

As we strive to provide a comforting and loving atmosphere for our residents, it’s important we recognize that memories hold a connection to the past and a special link to the future. For those with memory loss, we can help them derive enjoyment and a sense of connection just by listening to music or by looking at books, photo albums, plants, movies, or other items cherished from home.

Our community was built to reflect the comforts of home with beautiful apartments filled with natural light and outdoor courtyards that invite residents to enjoy fresh air and nature.

With a growing number of older adults living with memory loss, families and friends are looking for assistance. Helping a loved one deal with the confusion, frustrations, and safety concerns of memory loss is difficult. We’ll be there to provide close supervision, 24 hours a day in a secure and friendly residential atmosphere.

Our Registered Nurse works with families to assess resident needs and determine which of our five levels of care is the best fit. No two people are alike in the level of care they require, so it’s important that we take the time to get know your loved one as a person and what types of services will help them stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible.

Home is where we all feel most comfortable and at ease. It’s our goal to help residents make Hiawatha their home by creating a cozy, home-like environment. Our attractively designed care suites with private bathrooms are perfect for those who need a heightened level of care, but want to maintain the comfort and privacy of home.

Care Suites are uniquely designed to provide 24 hour, continuous care.  We provide one-on-one services to those who need higher levels of assisted living with the intention of aiding each resident regain or maintain their independence as long as possible. Restorative and rehabilitative care allows each resident to care for themselves as much as they can. In cases where people are recovering from illness or surgery, our Care Suites provide a short-term and longer-term space to recover and get the rehabilitation and health-related care that is needed.

All our activities are designed to each resident’s abilities. Our activity program is an important part of what we do. Stop by to visit on any given day, and you’ll find our staff visiting with residents, sharing stories, enjoying a game or cup of coffee. You’ll witness first-hand how lifting spirits and socializing are the most important aspects of our activity program.

Some of our supportive services we offer include providing transportation to and from appointments on scheduled days, administering medications, weekly housekeeping, laundry, and assistance with personal hygiene and showers. Residents have the option of enjoying three delicious, home-cooked meals each day in their own suite or joining others in our private dining room.
