Residential care facilities, offer housing for individuals who need assistance with personal care or medical needs. This means that the facility is a stated licensed and meets minimum staffing requirements. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day.
To be eligible for residential care facilities, an individual usually must be fairly mentally alert; able to dress, feed, and take themselves to the toilet; able to eat meals in a central dining room; and need no more than moderate assistance with personal care or behavior supervision.
It is our belief that it is our responsibility to protect and enhance the functional capabilities and independence of our residents. We accomplish this by custom tailoring our care programs to each resident. Taking into consideration the abilities and needs of each resident, and using interpersonal contact and behavioral therapies, we provide only as much assistance as is actually required for each resident. This allows them to maintain as much independence as possible.
The safety of our residents is always of paramount importance — protecting them (and our staff) from injury and harm.
