Enjoy independence, privacy and security while receiving the assistance you need. The Lodge is an assisted living facility that enables the continued enjoyment of life through friendship, companionship and support services.
The Lodge sees assisted living facilities as habitats for human beings rather than institutions for the frail and elderly. We strive to learn what Mother Nature has to teach us about the creation of vibrant, vigorous habits.
Our goal is to eliminate the three plagues of the elderly:
- Loneliness
- Helplessness
- Boredom
We want to show others how companion animals, the opportunity to care for other living things, and the variety and spontaneity that mark an enlivened environment can enrich the lives of the elderly.
In summary, we believe:
- Aging is a natural and normal life process
- Aging should not limit a person’s right to experience life to its fullest.
- People should be able to live their life at their highest level of health, independence and well-being
At The Lodge, we encourage residents to take an active role in their independent lifestyle. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities and take part in Resident Council.
The Lodge holds regular Resident Council meetings encouraging residents and staff to discuss nutrition and meal planning, activities, facility updates and more. The Resident Council is resident lead with assistance by staff as needed.
Residents are also encourage to participate in social activities. Residents choose from a variety of daily activities such as bingo, walking paths, church services, reading the daily newspaper or books from The Lodge library, and listening to visiting entertainment.
