August Estates began when husband and wife, Bradley and Felicity imagined a dignified, heightened quality of life for themselves and their parents as they aged: a quality of life that signified growth and renewal, not passivity or decline.
Based on the idea that independent living doesn't need to mean alone, they envisioned a model of elder micro-communities helping people be as independent as they can be - Engaged and continuing their journey with grace and purposeful living.
We invite you to experience our rewarding, dedicated service first hand. Visit and talk with residents, help plant our gardens, enjoy a meal, take part in our exercise classes, and see for yourself what sets August Estates apart. We look forward to meeting you.
At August Estates we maximize our residents' independence and offer value added services like regular family updates on our blog, and photos via email and Skype. We schedule frequent contact with young children and pets, learn what each resident of our homes enjoys, and provide regular opportunities to engage in those activities.
Our residents are given 24 hour personalized care and supervision and have licensed RNs on staff. Residents enjoy three healthy daily meals, snacks, and Silver Sneakers programs to ensure they have the opportunity to participate in daily exercise and movement with specialists. Social, leisure, recreational, and educational programs are all an integral part of our monthly activity calendar.
We also partner with Doctors Making Housecalls to bring physicians to the home for resident's check-ups.
Our Homes are inspired by the Eden Alternatives model of elder care, dedicated to creating quality of life for seniors and their care partners. When you choose our service, you're also choosing families, friends, and caregivers that help create an intentional Micro-Community dedicated to encouraging continued health, growth, and meaningful everyday moments for all of our residents.
