At Caremoor, we offer a phased, progressive approach to senior living. Residents initially living in an independent apartment may gradually transition to different levels of care as their needs change. The goal of this approach to caring for the elderly is to maintain a consistent environment and limit stress on both the resident and their family. With the staff on hand at CRC, moving from one accommodation type to the next can be done seamlessly.
Independent living apartments are perfect for adults that do not need assistance with activities of daily living or medication management, but want freedom from the upkeep of a lawn and large house. At LaMoor, residents have a private apartment with a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, and living room. An outdoor common patio offers beautiful views of pastures and grazing horses. Residents have privacy and the ability to come and go as they please. However, if there is an emergency, staff members are on-site within other locations of the building and may provide assistance as needed. These units are not licensed as assisted living, so medications cannot be administered to residents living in the LaMoor Commons Independent Senior Apartments. Residents may bring their own furniture and decorate their apartments as they wish.
Adults that may need more assistance due to dementia or limitations to their activity and seek the company of others would be best-suited for Caremoor Assisted Living. Caremoor is a 30-bed, fully-licensed assisted living facility with both private and semi-private rooms. Bathrooms may be private or shared. All rooms are furnished with a bed, nightstand, chest of drawers and closet. Residents receive three meals and two snacks per day, administration of medication, assistance with bathing and toileting, laundry, and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments. Caremoor Assisted Living is perfect for seniors that need additional assistance with activities of daily living but do not require the services of a skilled nursing facility. Residents may use wheelchairs, geri-chairs, walkers, etc. for their comfort and mobility.
The Carriage House is the perfect place for individuals that prefer the care and amenities of a retirement home without the size of an apartment or the feel of an assisted living facility. This fully-licensed family care home is nestled peacefully behind Caremoor Assisted Living and in front of the horse stables and pastures. Residents enjoy spending time in the communal living room or on the back patio where they can observe the grazing horses. The Carriage House has six private bedrooms where residents can bring their own bedroom suits for the comfort of home while enjoying the company, security, and around-the-clock care of living in a retirement community. A staff person is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
