there's something for everyone to do here friends and neighbors enjoy socializing during their time spent together in hobbies and recreational pursuits the elegant main facility is the perfect place to spend an afternoon in a friendly competition with friends or perhaps spend a quiet afternoon with a good book from the library in a friendly competitive spirit you're encouraged to participate in any or all of the wonderful activities which provide some good old-fashioned fun the Morris Morgan entertainment center in the main facility provides a great place for residents and the community to that he was alert and doing fine and that provided a peace of mind for me that was priceless and I'm so grateful to have him here at scotia village when designing scotia village safety and security specifically what we were looking for when we found scotia village we deliberately were looking for a place with assisted living and skilled nursing available to us should it be needed as part of the package we looked at many places many without that concept and discarded them out of hand before that very reason we were delighted to find scotia village a continuing care community in a small town that we could be very happy as a part of here at scotia village we know that people's needs change over time and we take pride in the ability to meet those changing healthcare and lifestyle needs with our skilled nursing facility and assisted living center we are also the home of scotland county's only dedicated special care unit for dementia related illnesses located in the WR duelin health center building residents enjoy a warm home like atmosphere amidst a beautiful landscape of wandering Gardens you can feel confident knowing that Scotland Memorial Hospital is close by with 60 physicians covering a comprehensive range of specialties the hospital works in partnership with duke university medical center and offers many sophisticated technologies with all we have to offer it seems you would never have to leave the grounds of scotia village doesn't it well you wouldn't need to but you just might want to combining a rich scottish history with a small-town America feel the city of laurinburg is as charming as it is alive with activity many residents enjoy the selection of churches shopping and cultural events here for the golf enthusiast laurinburg is just a short distance away
