[Music] good times is going on trips and finding things to do and new experiences and making new friends whether they live here or they don't live here you just can't imagine all the wonderful things we have going here for us all the activities and things and it's great to look at your calendar every morning and say oh I can do this today there they have their own fitness center you know the exercise room they have their own library you know they have their own dining room they have their chef our Chapel has been moved and improved I think we have a fear with reclining theater type seating and a popcorn machine they offer so many activities and it's just amazing what you can do here if you just make your mind up to it so a lot going on what what to do Morgan's in this small town but it definitely has its advantages we are so close to downtown we are close to comma we're close to shopping we approach to grocery stores and Morgan really is just an extension of base reads we have a huge park which right next door to grace rage Morganton is more the nicest prettiest small towns in itself the mystery trip is really fun you're told what to wear hot cold whatever you're going to need and you don't know where you're going the guy went in again there's something for everybody now whether it's theater a reading classes or guest speakers people here say it's like living on a cruise ship because they can come and go they know everything's safe is secure here you know you just have to be careful how much you eat if I'm very very truthful my favorite thing to eat here is Hershey ice cream and Thanksgiving our Christmas our birthdays all these meals are special meals the night that I like it is the night that we have the ribs we have the fried shrimp the quality of the food here is wonderful John does an outstanding job the activities that they do and the meals that they have and their relationships they share it's just really cool to see that grace rich you don't get bored there's something ongoing all the time [Music]

[Music] when you go into a retirement community you have assistance in so many ways my wife wanted to move to this community I did not want to move to any community because I didn't understand the benefit I really didn't think I wanted to leave my house because I was big into flower gardening I had a large piece of property and then I'm beginning to realize what a burden that was even though I had a caretaker you don't have to worry about it anymore everything's taken care of and I didn't realize what a joy that would be sometimes residents are apprehensive when they first make the change into the retirement community but after they get here and they get settled in they see how much stress is lifted off of them just by having meals prepared and activities planned and all they have to do is just show up I decided that I was not getting any younger and that I might as well make plans to live a few years not 20 years which I've lived here I've never regretted one day that I came over here living in a retirement community adds as life expectancy to a person we have a lot of good employees here a lot of good residents and everything but there's always positive in that place when they move and they realize they're not giving up independence or gaining more because they have the the independence to to go and do without the worrying of the upkeep and when they come here a lot of them begin living the food is great the staff is wonderful and we just enjoy living here everybody enjoys their life here and we the team does our very best ten rates to life that they have here it's just a great place to me aging is not something to look of disparagingly act it just gives you more opportunities to live and live in a different way and so I've thoroughly enjoyed it I wish I had come earlier very definitely I've said that so many times you
