Central Continuing Care has been a family owned and family operatedfacility since the day it was built. It all started in 1991 when Bill Payne and his two sons, Mark and David, ventured out to build this 120 bed skilled nursing facility. Bill had previously built 2 assisted living facilities (Central and Colonial Care) with his brother-in-law. The Payne family has always been a part of the daily working operations. Bill Payne was an owner and Administrator for 49 years before his passing in August 2015 where he spent his last few months of life at Central Continuing Care. Billʼs wife, Toby, was also instrumental in the operation of the facilities. She worked as Activities Director at both assisted living facilities for many years. She also spent the last few years of her life at CCC. Bill’s legacy still lives on at his facilities through the delightful, family-like environment that they provide and his family now plays a vital role in keeping these facilities up and running.
Our facility and staff are dedicated to providing Skilled Nursing Services with the highest quality care and has proudly done so since 1991. With our committed nursing team and support staff you can feel secure knowing your loved one is safe and comfortable in our care.
Our building design offers a centralized nurses station which maximizes visibility and accessibility to both our staff and our residents. The nurses station is the center of the facility with 7 hallways branching off which include 4 resident hallways, our dining room and kitchen, the chapel and our main entrance with administrative offices. Adjacent to the nurses’ station is our common area where activities and other gathering take place.
Our Therapy/Rehabilitation Department consists of two designated areas within the facility. Both spaces are fully equipped with therapeutic tools to enhance each individualized treatment plan whether short-term or long-term. To maintain a homelike environment we offer private and semi-private bedrooms. Each resident room has a bathroom that connects directly to their room. Each room has a sink where residents and employees can wash their hands. Rooms come furnished with a wardrobe, chair, and a dresser. Each resident also has access to a call cord at all times to call for someone if needed. All families provide their own televisions. We have cable hook up upon request from each individual family, Time Warner Cable will come in to hook this up. Each room is controlled by a thermostat that is behind a locked door, room temperatures can be moved upon request.
Central Continuing Care offers a wide variety of amenities and services guaranteed to meet your every need. From services offered in-house to monthly outings, our goal is to promote the overall well-being of each individual resident.
