The Cottages of Swansboro is a licensed Assisted Living & Memory Care Community nestled in the quaint, coastal town of Swansboro, North Carolina. We are located directly adjacent to the coastal bays and the White Oak River, and a short drive from the Crystal Coast Islands.

The Cottages of Swansboro consists of six well-planned homes. Each home offers each resident a private room with an en suite bathroom that is handicap accessible. Every room is furnished with a full-size bed, spacious closet, double dresser, comfortable recliner and other furnishings to ensure the ultimate comfort for each resident. Rooms are equipped with PTAC units to allow control of the temperature in each room as well as cable television and wireless internet (WIFI). The common areas have ample space to enjoy socializing with their family or friends.
The cottages assisted living community provides high-end living in a comfortable, home-like setting that promotes independence, social interaction, physical exercise, over all well-being and quality of life. Each Cottage is a 2,800 square foot, single-story home with six (6) private bedrooms and six (6) private bathrooms, front and back covered porches, common living area, common dining area, and common kitchen. Each home has 24 hour experienced, compassionate staff members with extremely personalized care due to our low resident to staff ratios. Our resident to staff ratio at the cottages is 6 to 1.
What do we mean by "A New Concept": It means that we have created an assisted living community consisting of a cluster of smaller assisted living homes or cottages connected through a common park like courtyard. Each Cottage is a 2,850 square foot, single-story home with no more than 6 residents living in each cottage. Each resident enjoys their own over-sized private bedroom and private bathroom that is handicap accessible. Residents also have access to shared in home dinning and living space, this maintains the home-like atmosphere that your loved ones are accustomed to. Loved ones do not have to adjust to living with large crowds of people however they can still have large social networks by socializing with residents from other cottages and through shared activities in our community center. Residents can relax on the front and back covered porches or enjoy the many amenities throughout the very large and beautiful courtyard.
The cottages extensive activities program features multiple daily scheduled activities. We provide a large variety of activities from group exercises, daily walks around our beautifully landscaped court yard, arts & crafts, bingo, outdoor games, group outings, shopping trips, themed dinners, knitting classes, live music, movies and various other activities. We strive to keep the mind active, encourage physical and social interaction and promote happiness, fulfillment and overall sense of well-being.
