The first-ever Edgewood senior living community, built in 1993, is still Minot’s premier senior living provider! Located near Our Redeemer’s Church and School, in a quiet southeast Minot neighborhood, Edgewood Minot offers you quick and easy access to area shopping, dining, recreational opportunities and exceptional medical facilities. Our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care community offers a continuum of care for area seniors, to meet all your care needs while providing countless opportunities for socialization, enrichment and activity. Plus, our residents also enjoy the benefit of having on-site Therapy Services, Home Health and Hospice provided by Edgewood’s healthcare services division, CaringEdge.
We know home isn’t a place as much as it is a feeling, and we can help ease your mind and create the connections that will make Edgewood home. Our Assisted Living offers gracious living spaces with sun-filled rooms and remarkable amenities, plus the people to provide the care you need, when you need it. The notion of moving out of the place you’ve called home for 10, 20 or even 50 years is a difficult and scary thought, but with our friendly faces and warm environments we can help you make your home right here.
Edgewood’s Memory Care residents live as independently as possible within a smaller, more comfortable environment. Our communities are designed to feel like any cozy home; there are spaces to gather, socialize and relax with family and friends. Our communities are designed to simulate the comfort, sounds, smells and feeling of home that ignite our residents’ long-term memories to bring them joy and contentment.
No detail is too small, and while we offer soothing room colors and décor throughout, residents are encouraged to bring their own special pictures, furniture and treasures to make their apartment home.
Our open floor plan allows residents to see every area of their home without having to open doors or walk long hallways. The open concept provides clarity and prompts them to interact with their surroundings and new friends, keeping them engaged, which reduces wandering, behaviors and depression while promoting physical and social well-being.
Short-Term Stays are exactly what they say they are: brief, overnight stays in a fully-furnished Assisted Living or Memory Care apartment. Stays can be as short as 24 hours or up to several months, and may be for a family member or yourself. If you are a caregiver to a family member, a short-term stay might be just the thing to remove worry and allow you to take that long overdue vacation. Maybe you are preparing for or recovering from surgery, or are considering a move to Assisted or Independent Living but are not ready to commit to a move. Either for a family member while you’re away, or yourself when you need a little extra help, a short-term stay might be right for you.
Adult Day Services is a specialized program serving those affected by Alzheimer’s disease, or other forms of dementia, who benefit from regularly interacting and engaging with other similarly affected individuals. Family caregivers often express feelings of guilt or of “giving up” on a loved one when they no longer can or want to care for their loved one entirely on their own. At Edgewood we see it differently—you’re not giving up, you’re asking for a hand; it just so happens that helping hand belongs to specially trained, experienced and knowledgeable professionals. Together as a team we can provide the best outcomes for your loved one, with the needed interactions and feelings of belonging, while you take care of yourself and your other responsibilities – whether that’s a work trip, running errands or enjoying a personal day of relaxation.
