Somerset Court’s personal services focus on our resident’s physical well-being, comfort and enjoyment. These services are included as a part of our all inclusive pricing. We encourage everyone in our community to take advantage of these services; however, no one is required to do so.
We believe enjoying retirement means staying as fit and healthy as possible. Our personal services include tracking and charting our residents’ basic health indicators.
We track the weights and blood pressures of our residents monthly or more often if a need is indicated. This service results in an accurate and continually updated basic health record to assists physicians in monitoring our residents’ conditions.
For those who wish, we assist residents with coordinating, ordering, and delivery of prescription medications, maintaining written records of all prescriptions for those residents. Along with this we administer medications to our residents as their physician(s) prescribe.
Our personal services include an emergency call system that allows residents to let staff members know when assistance is needed. At Somerset Court, our trained staff is onsite 24 hours a day and is ready to handle any emergency that may arise.
Somerset Court provides other, but limited, personal assistance including bathing assistance and supplemental dressing assistance. We provide hands on or standby bathing assistance and help with dressing tasks such as ted hose, shoes, socks, belts, buttons, buckles and bras.
Although we are not staffed to provide extensive ongoing and/or daily personal care services such as transferring or toileting, we are happy to help coordinate with other providers and assist any care support personnel our residents may need for services above the level of care we provide.
