Mae's Place is an exquisite assisted living community in Bristol, New Hampshire. It is within likable Grafton County which is part of the Granite State.
Mae’s Place Assisted Living is located in the heart of the Lakes Region, just a few miles from beautiful Newfound Lake. This facility has recently been completely renovated on both the inside and outside, with projects planned well into the future to maintain a fresh and modern feel. Both residents and visitors will notice new furniture, floors, bathrooms, and paint throughout the entire building. Being a stone’s throw from the downtown Bristol area, many of our residents often go on walks to enjoy the many stores and restaurants the town has to offer.
Our large living room provides a nice space for entertainment, activities, and games. You will often find residents gathered in the dining area to socialize and enjoy meals together. In the warmer months, residents enjoy sitting in the sun on our new outdoor patio furniture while enjoying some freshly cooked barbeque and reminiscing of the “good old days”.
Three nutritious and well-balanced meals are prepared daily in our kitchen and served to the residents by staff. Snacks are offered between each meal and before bed time. Ongoing care is taken for those residents who have special dietary needs.
All needs are provided for including; transportation to/from appointments, supervision with medications, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Our caring and compassionate staff are present 24 hours a day. We understand each resident’s needs and are responsible for overseeing their activities of daily living. We provide supervision of medications, monitor dietary and nutritional requirements, and assist with bathing, dressing and personal laundry. Nursing services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that the residents are receiving adequate medical attention when needed. We maintain close contact with each resident’s personal physician and arrange transportation for appointments. Mae’s Place Assisted Living also utilizes many community resources including physical therapy, speech therapy, hospice, podiatry and nursing. Communication is maintained with family members, which is important in the overall quality of care of each individual.
Our activities program, offered during all seasons of the year, fills the residents’ days with joy. It is updated regularly and consists of a daily variety of stimulating activities. Resident interests and ideas are always welcome and encouraged. Many enjoy spending time in the community, whether it is shopping, dining, scenic rides, or bowling, they thrive on the opportunity to reminisce about the “good old days”. A hairdresser is on site to pamper the ladies and groom the gentlemen.
For residents that enjoy a walk, downtown Bristol is less than half a mile away and bustling with stores that include diners, craft stores, and even a fudge factory!
In our back yard, residents are able to spot the various wildlife come out to play. Wildlife sightings always make the start of a new day delightful and quickly become a topic of conversation.
For residents that enjoy the outdoors, we have raised vegetable and flower gardens that come to life in the warm months. Residents can choose to participate in the planting and watering of these gardens if interested.
Musicians, therapy animals, and other entertainment are scheduled for residents to enjoy.
Our staff regularly plan parties and celebrations year-round. All residents and family members are welcome to attend.
