Our home has ten fully furnished private rooms, and our residents are welcome and encouraged to add their own personal touch. We encourage familiarity and comfort, and we appreciate and want to honor the uniqueness of our residents and the rich history each one brings to us. Their personal touch enables us to learn their life’s story, to truly know who they are.
We have carefully selected and trained a caring and loving group of caregivers to perform the duties involved in providing consistent support and assistance to your loved ones 24-hours a day.
Often you will find our residents enjoying the light and warmth in one of two glassed in sun porches, allowing them to soak in nature even in colder weather. We believe fresh air nurtures the soul, and on any given day you will find residents relaxing on the deck that overlooks a beautiful flower garden, reading and visiting with one another. This area is one of solace and relaxation, and if you listen in, you will hear stories of days and years gone by.
While we love to relax with our residents, recreation also abounds here at Silver Maples. We offer activities that encourage our residents to be active, engage with each other, and have fun! We recognize how much the arts enrich our lives, and we incorporate weekly music, song, dance, and craft activities to add to our quality of life here. It’s not uncommon to find us doing the two-step in the living room or creating a work of art to display for our guests!
The fun continues outside the walls of Silver Maples as well. Lunch time and ice cream outings are always an enjoyable experience for all, as is a leisurely scenic ride through the beautiful New Hampshire & Vermont countryside. Silver Maples is located just minutes from the local hospital, banks, stores and restaurants. Sidewalks allow easy walking and the residents are often seen strolling along the grounds, with staff close by to ensure their safety and well being.
Special attention and care are essential when it comes to elder care and nutrition. We meet those needs by providing three nutritious and well-balanced meals each day, adhering to any individual dietary restrictions. For those hunger pangs in between meals and before bed, we provide a variety of nutritious and tasty snacks. The evening snacks are served around the table, creating an opportunity to socialize and bring closure to the day; however we recognize that some of our residents prefer to retreat to the comfort of their own rooms at this time.
