Green's mill a continuing care retirement community offers gracious living for adults 62 and over with active and independent living for today with a guarantee of excellent health care for tomorrow in our assisted living and skilled nursing units cranes mill combines the seclusion of a natural environment with a convenience suburban location the campus is situated on 48 beautiful acres deemed a certified wildlife habitat complete with biking and walking trails a pond and well-lit streets all leading to the elegant town square while still only 30 minutes away from the cultural attractions of New York City as well as shops restaurants houses of worship and entertainment just around the corner in the cold Wells and Montclair cranes mill offers a variety of independent living options each with a distinctive style from a studio apartment to a two-bedroom single level cottage each living space comes complete with a full kitchen washer and dryer and a screened-in patio they are equipped with individually controlled heat and air conditioning all major appliances emergency call and daily check-in system there are many floor plans to choose from to fit most everyone's needs cranes mill also provides many amenities for the convenience of their residents housekeeping is provided every other week along with linen services maintenance landscaping and snow removal including cleaning the snow from your car and shoveling your parking space cranes mill also provides transportation for residents to area shops restaurants doctors and dentist appointments as well as evening dinner shuttle service looking around a circle CCRCs and north jersey the one that met my requirement of friendly residents friendly staff close to restaurants museums in New York City and I found that cranesbill met all my criteria at cranes mill there is always plenty to do the wonderful activities served to foster a sense of belonging in the community our program director creates an ever-changing calendar of events and programs such as planned trips and outings and concerts and Hinman hall and a number of social activities you have the freedom to be as involved as you want we are thrilled to be here at cranesville we are married 61 years and it's been a wonderful place for us to be just socialize we go to intellectual activities like the book discussion group and the current events but we really love to dance and that brings us together with other friends and it's a wonderful place to be cranes will do for God watching that's that's a very enjoyable sport - not so good in the winter months but otherwise we love to do that too cranes Mills goal is to promote wellness throughout our community our residents can choose from a number of custom tailored exercise programs in our state-of-the-art fitness center or participate in aerobic water exercises in our indoor heated pool the amenities are not only for residents but for your family as well my husband and I moved here from Tucson Arizona from a golf community we moved here because we needed to be close to family we thought that was important we have young grandchildren whom we're enjoying they think that they're living in a resort hotel so they come to visit a lot use the swimming pool the cafe via pajama parties so it's just been a wonderful experience for us and I think it's great that my parents are nearby and it's been really good for them as well as my kids their grandkids cranes mill has an array of dining options available for residents the flexible meal plan allows the residents to use the formal dining room or have a casual meal in the heartwood cafe they can enjoy happy hour in the cherry blossom lounge participate in the center stage dining experience we'll just pick something up from the corner market it's a delightful place where you can meet the candle berry room for a formal dinner with your friends where we have a full service or you could possibly choose to have your breakfast lunch or dinner in the cafe where it's more cafeteria style in addition to our superb independent living community cranes mill offers a continuum of care in our Health Center the goal of our staff is to assist in monitoring the health of our residents through personal contact and visits to the clinic of the Wellness Center we emphasize the importance of health and wellness and assist our residents with their ever-changing health needs and concerns cranes mill offers many options for residents continuum of care the assisted living and skilled nursing services are available as our residents age should a resident require a hospital stay the sub acute rehab department provides excellent care upon their return home to cranes mill cranes mill believes in providing comfort and support to their residents as they age my husband and I came in together and we lived in a cottage having a wonderful time here enjoying all cranesville activities when he became ill and I could not provide the care that he needed he was transferred over into the health center into the skilled nursing unit where he had perfectly wonderful care and I was able to be with him every day cranes mill is a reflection of the outside community a program of lutheran Social ministries of New Jersey cranes mill respects and supports the individual and spiritual needs of their residents providing our residents with a lifestyle with reasons to smile cranes mill is the place for you to call home
