The Sienna Arbour is an outstanding assisted living community in Reno, Nevada. It is within scenic Washoe County which is part of the Silver State.
Frances was a "Tivoli Girl". Back in the days when Betty Grable entertained our troupes during World War II, Australia had these entertainers that graced the stage with song and dance. If I knew her back then...which I wish I did, we would've painted the town yellow like sunshine. I can never tire of recalling or retelling her story. It was a great story and what an honor to have been a witness to it! She taught me that family goes beyond and is deeper than blood. You don't have to be born in the same family. You become family by heart.
That was 20 years ago...but still very fresh in my mind and heart. My children, all grown now have been a great part of what I did and what a wonderful lesson learned! We now know that no life is ever ordinary and we each have a story to tell. Frances is no longer around to tell hers and all of those gentle souls that have come and gone. I would like to tell this story...their story. It is my story too. I've been often told that we never really lose the people we love because they remain deep inside...in our heart of hearts.
I would like to thank the families of whose parents we've cared for. I would like to express how deeply grateful I am for Dave, Pat and Christine...they trusted me enough to care for Frances, their mother.
Once again, I say...we have a story to tell.
This is our tribute and their legacy.
