Morgan Estates is a 78-bed Assisted Living Residence (ALR) located in Geneseo, New York just 30 miles south of Rochester. We are a licensed facility recognized by the New York State Department of Health. We offer three levels of care to our residents (ALR, SNALR, EALR). Our community presents a quiet country setting over-looking the picturesque Genesee Valley where our residents can enjoy the beautiful scenery and a tranquil lifestyle. We are conveniently located close to specialty shopping, churches, professional offices and several medical facilities.
We are committed to meeting the needs of our residents who can no longer thrive in a traditional home setting. Our goal is to provide each resident the opportunity to maintain his or her highest level of independence, knowing our team is always here to assist them. As our residents age and require additional services, we will provide the support for these increased needs with compassion and professionalism. It is our promise each to resident to accommodate their individual needs in a place they can call “home.”
When a new resident joins our Assisted Living Residence (ALR), traditional assisted living, they will receive a care evaluation from one of our qualified nursing staff prior to admission. This evaluation is completed to determine the appropriate placement of each potential resident into our community. This evaluation will also assist our staff in in developing a customized service plan that fits the residents care needs and most importantly their preferences.
ALR Level 1 Care Plan includes:
- Medication Management(ordering, assistance and monitoring)
- 24-hour availability of our professional trained team members including Licensed Practical Nurses and Resident Care Aides
- Access to full activities program
- Three nutritious home cooked meals prepared fresh each day, with snacks and beverages offered daily
- Reminders for showering
- Occasional dressing assistance
- Reminders for maintaining personal hygiene and grooming
- Weekly housekeeping services
- Daily bed-making and weekly linen services
- Personal laundry services
- Maintenance of rooms, building and grounds
ALR Level 2 Care Plan includes the above services plus:
- Hands on bathing assistance
- Hands on dressing assistance
- Hands on personal hygiene and grooming assistance
- Escorts to and from meals and activities
- Daily reminders of activities, meals and assistance performing daily routines
- Incontinence care (occasional accidents and reminders)
- Daily housekeeping
- Accommodating special dietary needs/nutritional supplements
ALR Level 3 Care Plan includes the above services plus:
- Incontinence management (toileting schedule and hands on assistance)
- Increased staff supervision
- Increased reminders and redirecting due to cognitive impairment
- Diabetic Management
We recognize that individuals may be faced with increased medical conditions and/or a greater need for assistance with daily activities as they age. We accept residents into our Enhanced Assisted Living Residence who qualify for the services listed below. This level of care allows our current residents the option to “age in place,” in a familiar comfortable setting. Morgan Estates can also provide services for those from the community who require a higher level of care in a home like atmosphere. An evaluation will be completed for each prospective resident that may require EALR services to determine whether the individual is appropriate for placement
Enhanced Care services offered:
- 1-Person assistance with ambulation and transferring
- Assistance with feeding
- Dressing changes/wound care
- Management of Medical Equipment
- Unmanaged Incontinence
- Medical monitoring Skilled nursing observations which need to be reported to a physician (less than 24 hours per day)
- Daily Injections
- Management of catheter care/colostomy care
Morgan Estates understands how life changing it can be when a loved one is diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer’s. We recognize the needs of both the caregiver and the resident in our Memory Unit (Special Needs Assisted Living Residence). We offer a comfortable, safe and secure environment for our memory care residents to call home, and we’re confident that caregivers will also find peace of mind, at Morgan Estates.
When a resident moves into our community the admissions team collaborates with family members and/or representatives to develop a personalized care plan for each resident. This care plan is based on the individual’s likes, needs and abilities. As needs change, the memory care coordinator will adjust the personal care plan to fit their evolving needs. Our staff is committed to providing each resident the very highest level of dignity and independence.
