Home of the Good Shepherd Moreau is a terrific assisted living community in South Glens Falls, New York. It is within lively Saratoga County which is part of the Empire State.

In 2013, we opened our Enhanced Assisted Living community in Moreau. Since 1870, Home of the Good Shepherd has been providing superior professional care in a warm and caring home-like environment. Our size allows us to treat each resident as an individual, meeting their particular needs and encouraging them to remain active and involved with their lives.

Our Enhanced care allows residents to “age in place” as we provide Skilled Nursing tasks and Nursing Assessments in our private home like environment.

Our residents are offered exciting opportunities to visit local museums, take scenic rides throughout beautiful Saratoga County and beyond, take boat rides on Lake George, and visit nearby parks and musical venues.

Every resident can enjoy daily exercises, art classes, games, as well as a full service beauty/barber shop, a library and live entertainment each week.

Home of the Good Shepherd Moreau offers Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living. It is reassuring to know that as well as living in your warm and inviting private suite, you have the comfort of knowing whenever you need a little extra care, out staff is ready and waiting. Our caring and dedicated staff are onsite 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to assist with everything from dressing, bathing, oral care, general hygiene, as well as delivering meals for those who may not be feeling well.

Our Assisted Living offers: a continuum of care allowing residents to “age in place”, RN onsite and customized care plans for each resident, medication management, three freshly prepared meals, housekeeping and laundry services, and many fun and exciting social activities.

Our Enhanced Assisted Living includes all of the features and services of Assisted Living plus: skilled nursing tasks, assistance with ambulation and transferring, blood glucose monitoring, catheter/foley care and assistance with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) including bathing, showering and feeding to name a few. Our Enhanced Assisted Living can offer almost the same level of care as a Skilled Nursing Home in a warm and caring home-like environment.
