this has been one of the coldest winters in recent memory many of us didn't want to go outside here at acacia village however there's plenty of ways you can stay active we have a fitness area that a good number of our residents use on a regular basis we've got the 400 acre campus which allows people access to the outdoors we have our swimming pool we have plenty of room inside so people can walk inside or outside we also have the wii for fitness one of the things that really helps keep them healthy is the socialization and the opportunities they have for socialization in fact when we were home we I don't think we did the things that we're doing here and then after the pool we go in and I walked the treadmill and I do the bike the wife and I both Oh both buildings all fours we walk in a good pace just short of a tribe and we do that half three-quarters of an hour it's wonderful actually I come down monday through friday in the morning around ten o'clock and they start with the bicycle 20 minutes and then i go into the pool and i walk in the poet on swim because i need to exercise that way and do 20 minutes in there so i get enough exercise it's quite good i don't know of any other facility that has something like this acacia village is more than independent living it's a lifestyle a lifestyle that benefits those who come to live here we invite you to visit us at acacia village NY dot org take a video tour see all we have to offer you can also call us for a personal tour 798 for 775 for the Masonic care community court I'm Kathy contino turn
