Home of the Good Shepherd Wilton Residence is a quaint assisted living community in Wilton, New York. It is within enjoyable Saratoga County which is part of the Empire State.

In 2007, we opened our Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living community in Wilton. Since 1870, Home of the Good Shepherd has been providing superior professional care in a warm and caring home-like environment. Our size allows us to treat each resident as an individual, meeting their particular needs and encouraging them to remain active and involved with their lives.

At the Home of the Good Shepherd, we offer our residents superior quality, professional care in a warm and inviting Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living environment.

Our size allows us to provide each of our residents with individualized services to meet their specific needs while encouraging them to remain active and involved with their lives and in the Community.

Our Enhanced care allows residents to “age in place” as we provide Skilled Nursing tasks and Nursing Assessments in our private home-like environment.

Our residents are offered exciting opportunities to visit local museums, take scenic rides throughout beautiful Saratoga County, excursions to the Saratoga Race Track as well as nearby lakes, parks, and musical venues.

Every resident can enjoy daily exercises, art classes, games, as well ad a full-service beauty/barber shop, a library and live entertainment each week.

Home of the Good Shepherd Wilton offers Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living. It is reassuring to know that as well as living in your warm and inviting private modern suite, you have the comfort of knowing whenever you need a little extra care, our staff are onsite 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to assist with everything from dressing, bathing, oral care, general hygiene, as well as delivering meals for those who may not be feeling well.

Our Assisted Living offers: a continuum of care allowing residents to “age in place”, RN onsite and customized care plans for each resident, medication management, three freshly prepared meals, housekeeping and laundry services, and many fun and exciting social activities.

Our Enhanced Assisted Living includes all of the features and services of Assisted Living plus: skilled nursing tasks, assistance with ambulation and transferring, blood glucose monitoring, catheter/foley care, and assistance with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) including bathing, showering and feeding. Our Enhanced Assisted Living can offer almost the same level of care as a Skilled Nursing Home in a warm and caring home-like environment.

Home of the Good Shepherd Assisted Living provides a level of care above independent living, but residents enjoy warm and inviting private modern suites, three freshly prepared meals created with in-season ingredients, laundry and housekeeping, exciting social activities such as scenic rides, entertainment or lunch outings, a full-service beauty/barbershop, and transportation to doctor’s appointments. 

Upon admission, a personal care plan is developed for each resident and integrated within care management services. The personal care plan reflects an individual resident’s needs and routines prior to admission and is based on discussions with the resident, family members, physicians, and other healthcare providers involved in the well-being of the resident. The Care Plan is routinely updated based on nursing assessments done by onsite staff as the resident ages in place.
