no one is immune to aging if we're very fortunate in life and I hope one day that people will treat me and work with me the way that we treat people work with people here at the kenwood we do what we do to help enrich the lives of those that live in this building to help them have a better experience and a better day I think the one thing that really sets us apart and that we're very fortunate is that we do have the level of staffing that we have you won't find that anywhere else the nurses the nurse aides the kitchen the the maintenance the activities all of them are a team and I think they work together it wasn't as institutionalist other places other places are you know they're up at eight o'clock and everyone eats at the same time and everyone gets the same thing that day and there's very little room for flexibility in comparison to where mom was there were there was no comparison I mean the apartments are beautiful nice views nice setup food is usually very big question I think I get asked that by every single person before they move in and it's wonderful to be able to say it's fabulous plan on gaining at least 20 pounds and so but yeah with the chef and you know the team we have here that that does all the food it's it's a big deal it's a big deal and you know if you don't have a good food you're not gonna be happy I just think what we're doing is so great they have a better quality of life than maybe they would have had at home you're getting the care from your maybe your loved one at home but there's I think there's more to life and you want to I know that I would want to live it doing what I like to do we had just a quick story a resident that moved from Florida recently and it took a lot of planning airline tickets and working with the airline and making sure everything worked out hiring people to get the person to and from and when they got here you know we had signs we had you know everybody on the unit it wrote a little special note little thing of flowers just because it's such a scary time to move away from your home and move away from what you know we have one fella who she said oh he goes to bed early he won't do anything he'll not participate he won't and it's like the other day she told me you know he said home here and he's out with us participating and doing the activities and things and it's just they're just amazed at what you know if someone's given the chance or the opportunity where you think it's great to have them at home but sometimes they need a little bit more than just what is there what you can give them we're able to work with people that are moving in an independent living who really you know don't need any assistance just one of retire and relax we give them that opportunity to do that in a fun and exciting environment as well as when things may change you can transition on into assisted living where you might need just a little bit extra care maybe medicine reminders maybe some assistance with some ADL care dressing bathing and then if it goes into you need a little bit more care whether or not that's cognition with memory care or physically you need more skilled care we have that here at the kenwood I was in this building the first day when I got hired and after the first day I was terribly excited within the first week I knew that I was home if you're looking for a community that embraces Senior Living that will make a difference in your loved ones life pick the kenwood there isn't a person here who is not going to try to make a difference in that person's life and and give them a fulfilling experience we do make the difference in Cincinnati you
