what am I in for I would live up building in other words not at something trendy or a Tom Randleman look which I don't really have I mean that's not my style but I thought I would look at the building and look at the interior and see what I could do that would enhance it bring it up to date freshen it refurbish it and that was what was exciting it was easy because so much of the architecture and the materials are first-rate you couldn't do that today but you you could of course when the building was done I very much enjoyed collaborating with the committee that was given to me at Judson Manor which was made up of people who live here we started off from the very beginning it just clicked and that was a very happy accident because sometimes it doesn't work that way we live at Judson Manor which is a landmark building has landmark designation it's on the National Register of Historic sites I will tell you when I first moved to Cleveland 46 years ago I drove by this building and I said that building belongs on Park Avenue New York it just felt like that it looks like that it was built in 1923 as a luxury residential hotel and it was for many many years and it was the place to be in Cleveland it was an address people lived here for long term some people lived here short term or just visited and let her Roosevelt stayed in this building and I think I remember that Winston Churchill stayed in this building once so it's a really wonderful history I look at this building like a tapestry it's just a lot of fibers in a woven to make this really magnificent story but it's a if you if you haven't been in this building before visit it's a tree it's a tree when you walk in your jaw drops and we hope even more now that we've redone the lobby
