Hillview Home is a homey, small, quaint personal care home situated at the top of a beautifully landscaped eight-acre lot with a lovely view in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, which lends itself to the name, Hillview Home!
Our maximum capacity at any given time is limited to 22 residents. Much thought and attention was given to setting the maximum number of residents in our facility so we would be able to provide the utmost attention to each and every one of our residents as we welcome every guest into our home as part of our extended family.
We offer private and shared rooms, two large social areas for activities and dining, a covered outdoor deck offering beautifully landscaped views of a variety of seasonal plants and flowers as well as wildlife during all seasons of the year, and more!
At Hilliview Home, we recognize and understand the benefit of providing daily activities to all of our residents. Our activity staff member Janice encourages every resident to participate in their favorite activities such as:
- musical entertainers, sing-a-longs, accordion players
- pet therapy
- weekly bingo
- chair exercises, yoga
- popcorn and movie day
- craft classes
- pizza parties and Ice cream socials
- church services
The activities at Hillview Home. are provided to stimulate and exercise our resident's minds and bodies. For example, handcrafts are provided to maintain dexterity, in-home bowling is offered to enhance circulation, musical entertainment is provided to encourage sing-a-longs as well as body movement, and trivia games are encouraged to enhance memory skills. Our staff is dedicated to the need of each resident and offers individualized assistance during the active periods.
Quality personal care services and a home like environment have been the focal point of Hillview Home for almost 40 years. We are a family owned facility and take great pride in maintaing a high quality of standards in the types of services we offer, the quality of accommodations provided, and the promotion of active lifestyles.
Staff Services:
Our residents receive supervision or assistance with all daily living tasks including bathing, hair care, nail care, etc. Laundry is done daily. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and our dedicated and loving staff who have cared for our residents for many years. Our staff enjoy working with our residents and it shows with the long term staff we have retained over the years. Administrators and staff are trained and certified in many areas of gerontology, according to state regulations.
Medical Services:
Although we have trained staff on site 24-hours a day to assist with the administration of medication, regular visits by physicians, nurses, podiatrists and therapists are also provided onsite. A local pharmacy provides delivery of medications to our facility for resident and family convenience.
Church Services:
We have always maintained an open-door policy to our local churches. Through the years, we have been blessed with caring people of all denominations, clergy, church groups, and generous volunteers cater to the spiritual needs of our residents by providing religious services, communion visits, music, or just friendly conversation.
Dietary Services:
Our menus are planned by our certified cook Bobbie who has been with Hillview Home for 15 years. Residents enjoy adding menu suggestions and even helping with meal preparation with staff supervision. We offer homecooked, old-fashioned, ethnic meals made fresh daily, as well as special diets and daily alternate meals. In an effort to accommodate the tastes of all of our residents, we cater to the nutritional needs of our residents. We take great pride and care in preparing every meal.
