Mount Trexler Manor is adjacent to a fruit orchard, providing an opportunity for personal reflection while still being central to shopping, movies, and other activities. The home has a capacity for 90 residents and is licensed by the Department of Human Services. New Vitae Mount Trexler Manor provides safety and structure with 24-hour staffing while also encouraging each resident’s progress toward recovery or other goals.
New Vitae Mount Trexler Manor provides local transportation to appointments and three nutritious meals and snacks daily. The dedicated, professional staff assists with interest assessments in order to pair individuals based on preferred hobbies to encourage socialization and to build peer relationships. - Staff members work closely with each resident to review options for services that include community groups, volunteer opportunities, and other choices to determine what services may work best. Each resident has a Resident Assessment-Support Plan (RASP) to guide his or her services.
- Mount Trexler Manor is centrally located in order to provide routine visits to local churches, synagogues, mosques, and faith centers. A visiting chaplain is also available to engage those with interest in developing their spiritual beliefs and practices.
- Residents of Mount Trexler Manor have the opportunity to work in our Prevocational Work Program. The program offers the opportunity for work shadowing and assistance while developing a resident’s resume to prepare for competitive work options. Our staff will also work with residents for a referral to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).

Visits to local 12-Step support groups, shopping centers, museums, parks, concerts, and other local attractions occur routinely in order to encourage additional peer-to-peer contact and socialization.
- Emphasizing the importance of peer contact, residents have the opportunity to participate in the Mount Trexler Manor Resident Council. In this way, residents can provide direct feedback to staff and other leaders regarding their experiences at Mount Trexler Manor. It also permits individuals to develop leadership skills if they choose to participate.

Culture days, dances, games, crafts, basketball games, baseball games, and holiday parties are enjoyed by staff and residents.
