Theresa blessu our communities have evolved over the decades expanding our services to anticipate the changing needs of seniors and their families st. Therese of New Hope campus is comprised of private and assisted living senior apartments as well as a care center offering full-time skilled nursing care our remodeled life balance Center and rehab department help seniors achieve their highest level of health wellness and function getting them back home and living life to the fullest immediately impressed with the quality of care and the and the people who working here and the administrators and the whole nine yards it was just a great experience what I like about the staff is everyone is very very friendly and very very helpful and all you have to do is ask them a question then they'll be more than happy to answer it or directly to where you should be and that type of thing the grounds that st. trees are beautiful and they keep them beautiful i love the grotto particularly because you have the stations over there and it's a large green plush area and the water there and the bridge going over to our ladies grotto this is very beautiful built in 2005 st. Therese at oxbow lake in Brooklyn Park is a full-service senior living community with private assisted living and memory care apartments connected to a community Center where seniors can enjoy shopping dining theatre and other social events adjacent to the apartments st. Therese at oxbow lake also features a skilled nursing facility that offers private skilled care sweets st. The suites are built around a common area with a full kitchen for made-to-order meals, family-style dining room, a gathering space with comfy chairs and fireplace, and smaller spaces throughout the neighborhood for gathering with family and friends. and I'm here at st. Theresa of oxbow lake I'm with Dinah Martin and Dinah you're going to show us a little bit about the facility today right once you talk about it and tell me about the addition and some of the new amenities you have well we just recently opened in October we started moving people into our private care sweets which is in addition to our existing piece of the campus that opened six years ago approximately with everything from independent senior apartments assisted living apartments memory care apartments complete town center and now our Wellness Center and private care sweets so a complete continuum of care for senior population nice and although the addition just got done I understand October you guys were here long before that right when did you guys open up we started building this campus in 2005 open in 2006 in the fall and we've been increasingly full the entire time and now with the opening of private care sweets were able to meet the needs of those people that had moved in in 2006 now that their care needs have changed over the time one of the some of the things that you guys added on this new edition with our private care sweets we have four neighborhoods so about approximately anywhere from 13 to 17 residents that live in each neighborhood so a lot smaller a lot more home-like feel to getting you know what everybody used to think of as nursing home care it doesn't feel like a nursing home when you're here right now we're actually saying one of the living rooms on one of the neighborhood's nice and that in there must be some effort to maybe make this different than a traditional center or care because like you I hear you talk about neighborhoods and they're broke up into neighborhoods in the facility looks much different they may be traditional care systems is that it by design is that what you guys intend to do yeah it's a whole different way of looking at the old nursing home style it's not long hallways of people sharing a room sharing bathrooms they have all their private needs and amenities met right in that suite with that home like feel so they can get to know their neighbors they get to know the staff really really well in the families it really is a home-like family type setting we do that with the dining program and its family style dining there isn't necessarily if you want to wake up at ten o'clock that day you can wake up at ten o'clock that day and still get breakfast you know it's a kitchen like you would have at home everything makes it feel a lot more like home so we know people coming in here they have a medical need but we want to keep that part private and make them feel like they're at home still it's nice and just walking around a little bit i see you have things like a pool and you have workout areas or there's just seems like there's a lot of activities and things for them to do we like to keep them busy and sometimes we get complaints that there's just too many things going on for them to decide so the wellness center that we recently added has all the health facilities that you can think of in a gym setting but now strictly or specific to seniors so there's workout facilities so whether they live in our senior apartments and they're completely independent or if they're in our skilled nursing suites they can all use the fitness equipment we have personal training there they can get a membership to that we have group fitness classes in a studio we have an aquatic therapy pool so you've seen that it's a very high it's about 94 degrees in the pool so it's got jets and it's not a swimming pool but it's more you know their arthritis classes or just that warm water therapy that some of our residents have been missing beautiful and imagine the rest facility so thanks for having us today
