[Music] doll Rummel is a unique retirement community in Sioux Falls because of all that we offer four levels of care from independent living to assisted living to memory care to nursing home so that when a resident moves here they have the assurance that whatever their needs are as they change they'll be able to stay here at da Ramon when residents move to Don Ramon they can expect that their lifestyle doesn't have to change at all if they don't want it to we have a lot of choices for them and so they can choose to participate in many of the events and activities meal plans or they can choose to not participate in things we have a lot of fun things available to residents here at Dollarama on Main Street we have a shop a library a game room a bank a beauty salon those are things that the residents can take care of business while they're living here at del Rummel so they don't have to depend on someone else to do it for them or take them primary thing that I would share with children who are helping their parents elect a senior living facility is that dal Rummel has a full continuum of care from independent living apartments that any of us could live in today or tomorrow to assisted living when you need more medical care to nursing home living when you need that kind of care as well and even memory care if there are dementia problems or anything like that there's almost no comparison to the fact that when my mother was ill my dad could walk upstairs at the end of the day and sleep in his own bed while she was in the nursing home it was just something that I think they appreciated even more than we do they helped my parents adapt into their new apartment their new environment help them to to meet people to develop that sense of community there's a lot of good things that you should know about dal Romo and one of the things that brought us here was the fact that they have all the stages of care that we might need and we felt very secure about knowing that one of the features of the home is certainly safety the staff is very caring and they offer so much for us to do and they know us all by our first names they ask about our families we feel very cared for and loved here our experience in moving to da rummel we found that it was an advantage for us to come before we physically would have trouble getting around or enjoying the activities it allowed us to make this feel more like our home and to make more friends and to still be active there are just many many activities here at Dowell Rummel and you can take part of all of them or which ones you really prefer to do I really enjoyed being in the sling pool we try to get there at least once a week and sometimes more delve Armel provides many things to attend in the chapel Christmas in spring we can attend recitals of pianists our violinists and in small groups we have classes coming from the neighboring schools we see show choir it's just a variety of things Dahl Rummel has some exciting new changes coming in the near future a new building that will have 30 memory care and 30 assisted living apartments in it in our memory care center those residents will have a Town Square where they actually have their own stores to be able to visit a general store a library a diner and go into the diner and have coffee or ice cream in the afternoon go to the store and go shopping and yet it's all in a very safe environment for them and our assisted living building will be at a higher level of care almost a low level nursing home so residents who may be in the nursing home today could actually be an assisted living with the new services that we provide some of the fun things that our new Main Street will provide are a theater a larger beauty salon with pedicure and manicure and massage therapy as well a workshop an art studio and crafts room a golf experience with a golf simulator and a putting green and then we're going to have a pub as well I'm really excited about a theater where it'll have surround sound and comfortable chairs to celia and across the hall will be a little coffee shop where we can get popcorn or candy if that's necessary it I remember when I came here 20 years ago the warm friendly feeling that I felt and that hasn't changed a bit it is still all about the people and the warmth and friendliness that everyone has we become a family treating each other with dignity and respect and we are our genuine family [Music]
