New Hope Assisted Living, located in Boerne, Texas (adjacent to San Antonio), specializes in the care of seniors with dementia, mental health, and physically disabled. New Hope offers services to residents that are either independent or need more assistance with their adult daily living activities. New Hope is a family owned company with many years of experience in the healthcare industry. A passion for seniors and a long history of senior care-giving eventually led to the development of New Hope Assisted Living.
The facility holds a license as a small type B assisted living facility, enabling the ability for residents to age in place. The owners actively participate in daily care operations to ensure high standards of service and maintain the highest quality of care for the residents.
The staff at New Hope receives the most up to date training in the specialties of mental health, dementia, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s Chorea disease, Picks disease, Diffuse Lewy Body disease, Vascular dementia, Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease and head trauma injury.
Understanding the particular disease or diseases of an individual resident allows us to better plan the care services for that person. No two residents are completely alike; however common symptoms or processes for a particular disease are likely to appear at some given time in the course of a dementia related illness.Knowing what to expect in a particular illness helps us to accurately support the resident when they progress through a disease and guide their family members through this difficult process.
Our goal is to meet the resident’s individual needs by knowing and attending to each residents comprehensive care assessment established by the individual, family and or staff members. We accomplish this by interacting with the residents and family members in the facility daily, ensuring the residents needs are met with the utmost respect and dignity.
