Angel's Arms Assisted Living is an enchanting assisted living community in Lubbock, Texas. It is within alluring Lubbock County which is part of the Lone Star State.
Angel’s Arms is a small personal care home locally owned and operated by a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in the adult and geriatric population. The staff of Angel’s Arms has one priority and that is the comfort and safety of the residents. We feel that family support is vital to health maintenance and illness recovery but also realize what the strain of being both caregiver and family can be. We want to fill the caregiver role so that family can be just that... family.
Our home has large furnished bedrooms that can have either single occupancy or double occupancy, depending on the room and the resident. We have a sitting room, along with a living room and a back porch for sitting and enjoying the sunshine or for small gardening projects. Our chef cooks down-home style and develops a menu with variety that meets or exceeds all recommended guidelines.
Our care goes beyond the daily physical care but extends into the spiritual and emotional care that is so often ignored in a facility. We want our residents to remain physically active as long as possible so we have daily activities and plan one larger activity weekly. We have music hour with live musicians, movie time with the classics, craft time, cookie time, bingo, card tournaments, sit-and-be-fit exercise time, dominoes, and time for quilting and piecing.
To fill the emotional needs of our residents, we develop close relationships with each resident (we can do that because we are small) and encourage attendance by both the resident and their family to a monthly support group, or meet-and-greet. We cannot fully care for someone without addressing their spiritual needs as well. We have a weekly non-denominational service and can arrange specialty services as requested.
