When there comes a time in life when more assistance is needed, Linden House Assisted Living at Branchlands offers personalized care in an environment of kindness and respect. We encourage and support independence by providing whatever services residents need 24-hours-a-day. With this support, they can live their lives to the fullest. Extensive on-site amenities—a theater, rehab gym, hair and mani-pedi salons—and in-house entertainment, happy hours, and guest lectures enrich our community’s life.
Linden House Assisted Living at Branchlands opened in 2018. Every thought has been given to designing modern studios and one- or two-bedroom apartments that are light-filled, spacious, and ready for residents to personalize. Fine and casual dining at the indoor restaurant or covered patio in the private garden is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And morning to night, night to morning, dedicated caregivers are on hand to assist with personal needs.
At Linden House, attentive staff, including a full-time Registered Nurse and 24-hour-a-day nursing care provide personal assistance throughout the day and night, as needed. Visiting doctors, a podiatrist, dentist, and psychiatrist provide on-site care in a specially-designated medical clinic or in the comfort of a resident’s apartment.
In addition, an on-site therapist plans physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions. Residents can also participate in a structured Fitness and Exercise Program in the spacious wellness room, or work out on state-of-the-art equipment independently.
In addition to physical activity, proper nutrition, and assistance with activities of daily living, Branchlands offers many outlets for social engagement that sustain a sense of purpose. This holistic approach to assisted living is based on our firm belief that the factors that influence quality of life do not change even if one’s life circumstances do. We value individuality, and while we must ensure our residents’ safety and security, it is most important to respect the residents’ wishes and preferences.
The opportunity to cultivate (or showcase) talents can be immensely rewarding. In fact, research suggests that seniors may actually experience increased creativity. We provide as many opportunities as possible for residents to explore new interests or re-discover hobbies.
Branchlands offers over fifty programs weekly such as bridge foursomes, needlework clubs, dance classes, board games, and water coloring. Programs are designed to encourage engagement, physical activity, and psychological well-being and maximize autonomy and a sense of accomplishment. Staff is always on hand with a supportive attitude and a friendly willingness, whenever assistance is needed. This “person-centered” approach supports whatever level of independence a resident is able to maintain—while, at all times respecting privacy and preserving dignity.
For all our residents, our goal is to make life as easy, enjoyable, and worry-free as possible. We value their comfort and respect their individuality. The belief in the importance of living life to the fullest–even when age and disabilities slow the pace–is what motivates us to serve our residents.
In addition to assistance with dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living, staff provides kind, compassionate, and competent care. A full-time Registered Nurse and ’round-the-clock staff nurses ensure immediate attention to medical needs, and an on-site physical therapist works to restore mobility and keep residents as flexible and active as possible. Our medical team has developed a comprehensive Fall Prevention Program and Memory Care staff have mastered specialized Dementia Care Training. A structured Fitness and Exercise Program is designed to keep residents active and healthy. All staff participates on a regular basis in training and quality improvement programs to ensure residents receive the best of care.
Our on-site medical office is available to visiting doctors, as well as a podiatrist, dentist, psychiatrist, and other healthcare providers. We have made arrangements with a local pharmacy to provide medications in a timely and personalized manner. We can also assist with arrangements for outpatient physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy.
